Employment Pre Screening
Whether the company is small or big the employer usually conducts a Employment Pre-Screening Test and it is within the rights of the employer to conduct the Employment Pre-Screening Test to ensure that they are hiring the correct employee who’s personal goals align with that of the company’s goals. So for getting into the company the first step is to pass the Employment Pre-Screening Test.
The components of Employment Pre Screening Test are psychometric test, drug test and background checking. Apart from all these there can be some more tests which can be conducted by the HR professionals to get facts about the applicant, about his suitability for a particular job.
Background checking is a usual way for pre-employment Screening. This is done along with other pre-employment screening tests which are either performed online or at the company’s premises. The Aptitude test are either through electronic means or it can be a written one. It tests ones reasoning capability. The other test may examine the applicant’s technical skill as may be required for the job the candidate is applying for.
The instruments which are utilized during Employment Pre Screening Tests are reliable and include Applicant Risk Profiler and Career Ethic inventory. Applicant Risk profiler is used to assess whether an individual can maintain a safe workplace in spite of his negative behavior. The career Ethic inventory measures an individual’s attitude. All these Employment Pre-Screening Test tests whether you are fit enough to gel with the work-culture and organizational culture of the company.
Space relations, symbolic reasoning and mechanical visualizations, numerical skills and verbal comprehension are tested using more specific aptitude test which forms a part of Employment Pre-Screening Test. At a higher level a Professional Employment Test is also done. This PET is used to assess a candidate’s cognitive ability and behavior which he will use for in his future professional responsibilities.
Few HR professional may have not abided by the common standards usually followed by the companies. This may be their method to select the most eligible candidate for certain unique positions. The distinctive method might include the employment pre-screening tests which contain their unique way of finding the candidates proficiency in many factors that can influence work related productivity.
Thus if you desire to work for certain company and pursue you career their be prepared to prove yourself in the Pre-Employment screening tests. If you come out with flying colors it will be easy for you to get the coveted position you always wanted. But be aware that such Pre-employment test are transitory in nature and there will be many more that will come your way in your career where in you will be subjected to various screening procedures.

Home Drug Testing
The past 20 years or so have seen a large increase in drug testing in the workplace and elsewhere. This testing has usually taken place in a laboratory setting; home drug testing is a relatively new phenomenon.
With increased demand for pre-employment and random drug screening of employees came a huge market for home drug testing. Several products are available to consumers and can ease one’s mind. Whether the person is a recreational or habitual user or even just worried that diet or environment may create a false positive, having results from a home drug testing kit can accurately predict the outcome of the official test.
Creators of home drug testing kits also had another group in mind: worried parents of teenagers. As one of the largest consumers of this type of product, parents can now easily test their children if drug use is suspected. Some experts question whether or not this can damage the parent/child relationship, while others argue that it is a parent’s right and obligation to know and to seek treatment for their child if need be. Parents appreciate the privacy and anonymity of home drug testing.
Testing is usually performed by the traditional urine sample method; however, the oral swab method is becoming more respected and popular. The kit can be obtained via mail order, at specialty shops, or even from major pharmacies. After the sample is taken, it is sent to the company’s laboratory for testing. One can expect results in just a few days. Some of the home drug testing kits offer immediate results (within about ten minutes) but then also offer laboratory certification of the results.
Most home drug testing kits test for the ten most commonly abused substances. Home drug testing kits, like many laboratory tests, do not detect the timeframe of usage. Marijuana is the most commonly tested and is available in all screening kits. Some all-in-one kits contain tests for marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines, opiates, PCP and common prescription drugs.
A variety of methods are available for on-site and home drug testing. Employers like the benefits of cost cutting and convenience; parents like the option of privately testing their children. The home drug testing and on-site drug testing market flourishes because of the obvious benefits. Some human resource experts believe that on-site and do-it-yourself drug testing kits are the wave of the future.

Drug Testing Your Teen?
We as parents desperately want to protect our kids from the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and we know that the years of adolescence are a time of experimentation, and a time when as much as we’d like to, we can’t always believe everything our children tell us. Drug tests promise us the peace of mind of knowing for sure, and that’s a pretty attractive sense of security for parents anxious over the risks of abuse and addiction.
Drug tests do give us concrete knowledge, they may act as a deterrent to use and they will allow parents to take action quickly in the event of a positive test result. However, the issues surrounding their use are not quite as clear cut as those selling the test kits would have us believe and there are some risks associated with drug testing your teen. You need to get educated to the risks and benefits, and make an individual and informed decision about what’s best for your family, and for your teen.
Positives
You will enjoy peace of mind from a negative (no drug use detected) test result, and can reward kids who do resist temptations for their good behaviors.
You can act quickly and with concrete knowledge in the event of a positive test result, and since with substance abuse and addiction intervention is always better sooner rather than later, this can make all the difference. The tests may acts as a deterrent to use. If kids know that they have a random drug test to submit to every month, they may be less likely to experiment with drugs or alcohol, knowing that there is a good chance that they will get caught.
Negatives
The parent child trust relationship can be a bit tenuous during the years of adolescence, and when you refuse to take them at their word, this may erode further your relationship. Drug tests are not as accurate as they claim, and independent laboratory testing of home drug testing kits shows that up to 40% of the time, these tests do not show drug use when more sophisticated testing will reveal it.
Kids can beat the tests. There are easily bought products that can obscure drug metabolites, and if kids do beat the test, you may ignore other signs of use; relying on faulty informational and ignoring your intuition. It can be tough to test a non compliant teen. Are you willing to watch them in the bathroom giving a urine sample? Are you willing to remove a hair from their head?
It comes down to a very personal and individual decision, and there is no clear or easy answer to this question. The tests are not perfect, and there are risks associated with the testing process, but if you don’t think you can keep your kids safe any other way, then maybe testing is worth doing. If your child does have a history of drug use or substance abuse problems, then the arguments towards testing get a lot more compelling, and if your child has a history of lying to you about their substance use, then you may not need to worry much about eroding your trust relationship.
If you do decide that you need to test your child, make sure you have a reasoned talk with them explaining why you’re are doing it, and explaining that you are only testing them because you love and worry for them. Parenting teens is a tough job, and there are rarely easy answers.

There are a lot of herbal products available in the market that says they can clean your body system but the truth is you can just clean your body system for a short time. According to some people or experts, the only way to remove the THC drug from your fat cell is through exercising and taking of some products that allows detoxification process to occur.
Here are some examples of false home remedies in removing the THC from your body system.
Water – it is recommended to drink lots of liquid especially water before undergoing a drug test. Many people are drinking lots of water many days before the test. This is not effective because the THC is not water soluble.
Diuretics – this is a kind of liquid that will let you urinate often. Some examples of diuretics are coffee, juices, beer, iced tea and soft drinks. Just like water, diuretics will just clean your body system from THC marijuana temporarily.
Vinegar – there is a saga that when you drink vinegar, it will eliminate THC in your body. It is definitely false. The truth is, vinegar will just level down the PH content of your urine.
Dexatrim – there is also a saga that an active ingredient of Dexarim which is called phenylpropanolamine will be helpful compared to others. But this is definitely not correct.

Drug Abuse in Teens
‘Passive Pusher’ Parents Enabling Drug Abuse in Teens
A new survey reports that inattentive parents are to blame for their children abusing common prescription drugs.
According to questions asked by researchers from the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), more teens today say it’s easy to get prescription drugs without a prescription than it was a year ago.
And before you start blaming the Internet, the survey pointed out that in the majority of cases where teens obtained illegal prescription drugs, they got them from their parents’ medicine cabinet.
D’oh!
That’s right, folks. It’s your fault your kid is hopped up on Percocet or Vicodin.
The Columbia University study involved 1,002 kids age 12-17 from April to June of 2008.
The problem, according to Elizabeth Planet, the study’s lead author, is the disconnect between teens and their parents. Most of the parents were not aware of how often teens abuse prescription drugs. But prescription drug abuse among teenagers has been an issue for years, say experts.
Not only did parents not think their teens were taking their meds, there were also large discrepancies in the reporting of how often the teens were out of the house.
Fifty percent of the teens surveyed said they were hanging out with their friends on weekday evenings, while only 14% of the parents said they knew their kids weren’t home.
"Parents are not paying attention," said Planet to reporters. "There are parents who are out in the evening themselves. There are parents out at work."
While marijuana remains the easiest drug for kids to get (in fact, 43% of 17-year-olds surveyed said they could get their hands on some within an hour), prescription drugs are now third on the list, harder to get than cigarettes but easier than beer.
Fifty percent of teens who reported staying out past 10:00 at night said there was drinking and drug abuse occurring among the people they were with. For those who returned home between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 pm, 29% said there was alcohol and drug use happening.
National Institute on Drug Abuse representative Nora Volkow told reporters that part of the concern with prescription drug abuse is that kids think it’s safe if their parents have it. "Kids think that because these are medicines that are prescribed, they are safe," said Volkow. "[But] the problem is that there is very little difference between the amount they take for a high and the amount that causes an overdose."
CASA’s president Joseph A. Califano had harsher words for those inattentive "problem parents": "Preventing substance abuse among teens is primarily a mom and pop operation. It is inexcusable that so many parents fail to appropriately monitor their children, fail to keep dangerous prescription drugs out of the reach of their children and tolerate drug infected schools," said Califano to reporters.
He added, "By identifying the characteristics of problem parents we seek to identify the actions that parents can take – and avoid – in order to become part of the solution and raise healthy, drug-free children."

School Drug Testing
There are many pros and cons in the school drug testing debate that is a hot topic of discussion in schools and amongst parents, teachers and students these days.
Some say that the main purpose of random school drug testing is not to catch kids using drugs, but to prevent them from ever using drugs, illegal or not. Once teenagers are using drugs it is much harder for them to break their addiction. Maybe it’s the issue of peer pressure, which is the greatest cause of kids trying drugs. If by testing the athletes or other school leaders, we can get them to say no to drugs, it will be easier for other kids to say no.
On the other hand, one of the fundamental features of our legal system is that we are presumed innocent of any wrongdoing unless and until the government proves otherwise. Random school drug testing of student athletes turns this presumption on its head, telling students that we assume they are using drugs until they prove to the contrary with a urine sample.
"If school officials have reason to believe that a particular student is using drugs, they already have the power to require that studentto submit to a drug test," said ACLU-NJ Staff Attorney David Rocah.
The constitutional prohibition against "unreasonable" searches also embodies the principle that merely belonging to a certain group is not a sufficient reason for a search, even if many members of that group are suspected of illegal activity. For example, even if it were true that most women with red sports cars were drug users, the police would not be free to stop all women who drive red sports cars and search them for illegal drugs.
Students who participate in athletics, music programs, and after-school activities could increasingly be subject to random drug testing under a program promoted by the Bush administration. There are some parents, teachers and school officials who are calling it a heavy-handed, ineffective way to discourage drug use that undermine trust and invades students’ privacy.
In many workplaces and in the military, there’s been drug abuse testing going on, but courts have ruled that public schools cannot impose random tests on an entire student body.
However, the Supreme Court ruled in 1995 that schools could randomly test student athletes who are not suspected of drug use. In 2002 it was ruled that all students who participate in voluntary activities, like cheerleading, band, or debate, could be subjected to random tests as well. Since then, the Bush administration has spent $8 million to help schools pay for drug testing programs. The White House hopes to spend $15 million on drug-testing grants in the next fiscal year.
There are about 600 school districts in about 15,000 nationwide that use drug tests, according to officials from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. White House officials liken drug testing to programs that screen for tuberculosis or other diseases, and said students who test positive don’t face criminal charges.
Others believe that if parents would just take the time to talk with their teenagers about drug abuse and if they suspect their teen is abusing drugs, the parents need to take actions beginning in the home. There are many teen drug testing home kits on the market these days. If parents upheld their roles as parents, then teachers, coaches and the government wouldn’t need to step in and push the issue of school drug testing.

Hair Follicle Drug Testing
Hair sample drug testing is a great way to detect whether or not a person has used drugs in the past 90 days. Whether in an office format or in the home, hair drug testing serves the purpose of answering questions about an individual’s drug use history.
How Does Hair Follicle Drug Testing Work?
Hair drug testing is actually quite simple and merely requires a sample of hair in order to be completed. Parents who are worried about their teen’s use of drugs can collect a strand of hair from their pillow. Employers can request a sample from their employees. Once a hair sample has been collected, it is sealed in an envelope and sent to a participating laboratory for completion. Hair testing is fast and more accurate than other drug test forms.
For instance, hair sample drug testing can detect drug use for up to 90 days after use. The detection window is much larger in hair drug testing (compare it to few days for urine and saliva based drug testing) because trace amounts of drug chemicals become trapped inside each hair. A simple lab test can detect these trace chemicals making for either a positive or negative test result. Once the results are recorded, you are sent notification of the results. Some companies even provide a phone service where you call in, enter an account number and retrieve the results in that way.
What Kinds of Drugs Can Hair Drug Testing Detect?
Hair sample drug testing can detect all of the major types of drugs, including marijuana, opiates, methamphetamines, PCP, ecstasy, and cocaine. Hair follicle drug testing can detect the trace amounts of illicit substances trapped in the cortex of the hair for up to 90 days after use.
Employee drug testing programs often incorporate hair follicle drug testing into their plans because of the sheer accuracy of these tests. Even though hair testing is more expensive that a urine drug test kit, for example, they can provide a level of accuracy that is nearly ten times that of other testing methods. Likewise, hair follicle drug testing does not involve the embarrassing collection of samples like that of urine or saliva drug tests. In most cases, a few strands of hair is all that is needed to obtain accurate results.
Parents can also benefit from hair sample drug testing. Hair testing is discrete and confidential. An individual can be tested without their knowledge, making it so parents can know the truth about their teen’s drug use first before making accusations. By using hair drug testing in the home, parents can safeguard their teens against drug abuse, and help them quit the abuse should test results come back positive.

Online Body Detox
Does Detox Work For Passing Any Alcohol Testing Device ?
If your employer has asked you to submit hair, blood or urine for a drug or alcohol test in a matter of days or a week for a random drug test, or as part of an interview/promotion, and you are a user or abuser of drugs and alcohol, can you trust an online detox company to ensure that you will give clean results?
If you have taken drugs or drink alcohol excessively and you need to pass a drug or alcohol testing device, it’s possible to squeak by the less technical urinalysis test but it’s unlikely you can cheat the high tech system that ‘reads’ your hair. Unless you plan to shave your head, which would give you away regardless, no bleach, hair dye or strange elixir is going to ‘clean’ your hair.
Unlike urine alcohol testing, which can only prove whether or not you have abused alcohol within a very small time frame of about a week, the drug and alcohol hair testing exposes everything you have consumed from food to absorbed chemicals as far back as 12 months ago, using specialized equipment that reveals all.
How the Hair Drug and Alcohol Testing Device Works
Using ethyl glucuronide, (EtG) alcohol testing technology, no other test in the world can give detailed results for hair alcohol testing. EtG alcohol testing allows a scientist to segment testing into months of abuse unlike previous FAEE, testing alone which only shows alcohol dependency. FAEE or fatty acid ethyl ethers is a patented forensic process which reveals markers that are only exposed if a person has consumed alcohol. The more alcohol consumed the greater amount of FAEE and EtG markers become present in the hair.
What Detox Companies Claim
Detox companies claim that by using their products, pills, elixers or teas, that you will be able to pass any drug test. They claim that they are 99% effective and that you won’t have to worry at all. In the case that you decide to try one of the detox companies out, it is highly recommended that you use their drug and alcohol testing devices that come with the product as a home test for your self, not for submission for something as serious as final results to apply for a job.
Unless you are a clean and sober individual, there is nothing to worry about if your company asks you to give blood, sweat, urine or hair sample for any drug or alcohol testing device. If you are not a sober person and you are a risk taker, then you should trust the detox potions. If you are going to be giving your hair as a sample for testing…all will be revealed, including the detox potion you attempted to take under the radar. Unfortunately, if you are a drug user or alcoholic, there isn’t much you can do to prevent the truth from being revealed.

Drug Testing in Schools
Random Drug Testing May Become A High School Reality
More and more high schools are looking at ways they can limit underage alcohol and drug consumption. They have looked to alcohol high school testing and urine alcohol testing to help. However, some schools are now looking to random drug testing while students are participating in sports and other activities.
Many administrators are specifically targeting students in sports and are abiding by a two strikes and you are out policy. In 1995 the Supreme Court made random drug testing on student athletes legal. In 2002 they expanded that rule to include competitive extracurricular activities.
Schools can make this testing mandatory and not allow students to participate unless they agree to the random drug testing. Schools want students to understand that there are big consequences to drug use. They feel that this is one way they could impress upon students the serious nature of using drugs. Every time a student joins a team, they would be added to a random drug pool.
Each month a group of students would be chosen for random testing. And, if the results came back negative, then consequences would be handed out as appropriate and depending on if it was the first or second offense. Along with providing school authorities the ability to find those students who are breaking the rules, it may also give students a way out when dealing with peer pressure. If random drug testing becomes a normal practice in schools, students may find peer pressure or drug use at all to become less commonplace in high schools.
While it may be a dream, perhaps with random drug testing, we will find that drug use in high schools is eliminated altogether due to the fact that students will hopefully want to participate in activities more than they want to break the rules.
While there may be no easy answer to the problem of teen drug abuse and alcohol misuse, we need to start somewhere. Random drug testing may be the first step to helping students come clean. By putting measures like this into place, schools can not only weed out those students that are using, but allow other students to resist peer pressure they may be facing. We all want our students to excel academically and in extracurricular activities. By putting programs into place we can begin to protect our students.
We may find this same mentality working in the workplace as well. Many types of programs already authorize random drug testing and it has been a success. In fact, many jobs even require drug screen testing when you first start a new job. This is becoming more and more commonplace in today’s world.
Employers want people that they can count on and trust. Drugs impair people’s abilities and put the people around them at risk as well. By first creating these programs in our schools and then allowing them to carryover to our workplaces as well, we will be creating a drug free mentality and buffer. It will not only allow some people a way out, it will also set a standard in both our schools and at our workplaces.
